HoodHero is operated by Tazmo Labs. This policy explains what information the app processes, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
You may provide vehicle symptoms, repair questions, VINs, registration numbers, diagnostic details, photos, and voice input. If you sign in, we process account identifiers needed to authenticate you. We may also store your region and app preferences, subscription status, and crash information.
How we use information
We use this information to provide AI-assisted vehicle diagnostics and repair guidance, process VIN and registration lookups, display relevant repair suggestions, authenticate users, manage subscriptions, save preferences, improve reliability, and prevent misuse.
Third-party services
HoodHero may use Google Gemini for diagnostic prompts, Firebase Authentication and Crashlytics, DVSA/MOT services, NHTSA and other vehicle-data providers, and external merchants such as Amazon. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Affiliate disclosure
HoodHero participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and similar regional programs. Some product or tool links may earn Tazmo Labs a commission at no additional cost to you. Recommendations are not third-party advertising tracking.
Your rights and retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for app functionality, legal obligations, disputes, and security. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export your data. HoodHero is not directed to children under 13.
